Aegis explores the evolution of the concept of dwelling, from its etymological roots to future scenarios shaped by the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and digital security. Through a multidisciplinary approach—blending design, philosophy, sociology, and technology—the research investigates how cultural, social, and technological changes are redefining the contemporary home, not just as a physical space, but as an interactive ecosystem responsive to human needs.

Cybersecurity, traditionally considered a technical issue, is now taking on an increasingly cultural and social significance, especially within the home. In an era where the home is becoming an increasingly connected and intelligent environment, cybersecurity is becoming an essential component of our lives. The Aegis project was born from this awareness, aiming to protect users' digital identities and facilitate more informed, secure, and inclusive access to digital services. The goal is to develop a home system that protects users and their data, making the use of technologies understandable and accessible even to those without advanced IT skills.
